Berkshires Untold Artist Escape

May 18-22, 2026

The Berkshires Untold Artist Escape is an invitation for painters, musicians, writers, photographers, performers, poets, and makers of all kinds to step into a space designed for creativity, connection, and renewal. Taking place during the energy of ArtWeek Berkshires, this special offering aligns with a regional celebration of local creativity, featuring more than 100 hands-on events, behind-the-scenes experiences, open studios, gallery shows, live performances, poetry readings, painting demonstrations, and more across Berkshire County.

How it Works

The Artist Escape is rooted in creativity and exchange. We invite participating artists to to make Berkshires Untold your home for the week. Stay with us for up to 5 nights (final check-out the morning of May 23).

In exchange for your stay, we ask for a creative contribution, trade, or loan of your work. This could take many forms depending on your medium — a piece of visual art, a performance, a reading, a video or photography series, a workshop-style exchange, or another offering that reflects your practice.

The only costs are a required $100 cleaning fee for the week, making this an accessible opportunity for artists of all means.

To apply, email staycurious@berkshiresuntold.com and tell us a bit about yourself, your creative practice, and the contribution, trade, or loan you would like to share.
