Gateway Lodge blends the nostalgia of a historic mountain retreat with the needs of weekend explorers and wedding parties. Nestled at the base of Belleayre Mountain, we offer a collection of uniquely styled rooms—ranging from cozy quarters for couples to expansive multi-room suites with two or even three beds. Our lodge is built for the “in-between” moments that define a trip: morning coffee in our window-lined dining area, board games by the fireplace, and breathing in the mountain air from the porch or gardens. With flexible sleeping arrangements, dog-friendly accommodations, and generous communal spaces, we provide more than just a room; we provide a true home base for your group’s collective adventures.

We are the closest boutique lodging to Belleayre Mountain, where winter days invite skiing and snowboarding, and warmer months offer hiking, mountain biking, and refreshing swimming holes. In the fall, the vibrant foliage draws hikers and cyclists from across the region to experience an abundance of color and world-class road and gravel routes. From hidden trailheads to breathtaking overlooks, Gateway puts the best of the Catskills right at your doorstep—where unhurried discovery meets the convenience of being exactly where you want to be.

Each morning at Gateway begins with a generous breakfast prepared to fuel your mountain adventures. Guests gather in our window-lined dining area or linger with coffee in cozy corners, enjoying hearty classics alongside thoughtful dietary options. We take pride in a welcoming table for all: vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals are available upon request, prepared with dedicated equipment and prep space to ensure peace of mind. From morning coffee with a view to après-ski hot chocolate by the fire, our food and beverage moments are crafted to ensure every member of your group feels well-fed and right at home.

Whole-house buyouts transform our 11-room property into your group’s personal mountain escape—perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, or retreats. Up to 32 guests can stay together under one roof, enjoying both our generous indoor areas and our signature outdoor spaces. From lounging in the garden and s’mores by the firepit to gatherings at our seasonal stone wood-burning grill, we provide a private and authentic backdrop for your event. Each of the 11 guest rooms at Gateway Catskills Lodge has been thoughtfully reimagined, blending vintage character with modern comfort. Inspired by the grand hotels that once defined the Catskills, the spaces range from cozy quarters to multi-room suites, ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends. Private bathrooms, retro mini-fridges, and crisp linens create a sense of ease, while smart TVs and reliable WiFi keep you connected when you choose.
Avon Room
Cozy and full of character, the Avon Room offers a peaceful retreat for two. A plush queen bed, vintage touches, and warm mountain light create the perfect setting for a quiet getaway in the Catskills.
Marlowe & Ulster
Spacious and refined, the Marlowe and Ulster rooms feature elegant king beds and timeless charm. Designed for comfort and serenity, they blend rustic textures with modern details — ideal for couples seeking calm and connection.
Alpine & Grampian
The Alpine and Grampian rooms offer space and flexibility with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa, comfortably sleeping up to four. Perfect for families or friends traveling together, these rooms pair relaxed comfort with the lodge’s signature vintage style.
Watson

The Watson Room combines luxury and livability with a king bed and a queen pull-out sofa. Designed for up to four guests, it’s the perfect balance of spacious comfort and Catskills charm — ideal for longer stays or cozy evenings in.

Galli Curci & Winterton

Bright and welcoming, the Galli Curci and Winterton rooms feature a queen bed and a twin daybed, sleeping up to three guests. Thoughtfully curated décor and soft natural tones invite you to unwind after a day of mountain adventures.

Summit Room
Perfect for small groups or families, the Summit Room offers two full beds and a twin daybed. With plenty of space to relax and a laid-back Catskills spirit, it’s ideal for reconnecting and recharging together.
Grand Suite
Spanning two connected rooms, the Grand Suite combines comfort and flexibility. A queen bedroom adjoins a second space with two full beds, comfortably sleeping up to four. Perfect for families or extended stays, it captures the timeless hospitality of the Catskills.
Rossmore Suite

Gateway Lodge is located in nature’s backyard with Belleayre Mountain Ski Center just one mile from our front door, you have easy access to skiing, snowboarding & cross country as well as an array of summer activities including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and gondola rides.

Culinary Treats

No trip to the Catskills is complete without a taste of classic Americana. Enjoy our favorite culinary rituals – homemade s’mores around the fire pit (weekends May-November) or Après Ski Hot chocolate by the warm indoor woodstove (weekends December-March)!
